Blurb:

When a young warrior-queen stumbles into the ho-hum capital city of Canada, all hell breaks loose.

Ethan Evans, a Carleton University student with everything going for him, stumbles upon the mysterious body of a gravely injured young woman on campus one Hallowe'en. Given to the care of the Ottawa Police Service and the staff at the Montfort hospital, he thinks no more of it.

Until monsters attack him just days later.

Saved by the very same girl he found, he embarks upon a seemingly impossible quest to return the young queen to her people before the divide between worlds closes for another year. Chased by monsters and the O.P.S. alike, the pair recruit a motley crew of unlikely friends to help them on their way.

Meanwhile, in the land of the Pobl Gwir, the idyllic island city, Y Ynys Bendigaid, and the mighty fortress, Caer Avallach, is under siege, the lake surrounded on all sides by the frog-like men known to them as the Dynion Gors.

Desperately in need of their queen, and the Knights of Caer Avallach who followed her onto the battlefield, the people of Y Ynys Bendigaid await their champion...

... And it's not who they expected.

Blurb:

Rookie FBI Agent, Ryan Harmon, has just arrived at the Tucson office when a case is dropped on his desk. A young drug addict called Holly was struck by a car and begs the woman who hit her to help her gain her freedom. She tells Carson Armstrong that she ran in front of her car out of desperation, for she's one of six children kidnapped and sold into slavery. Faced with a human trafficking case, Ryan calls the Phoenix Field Office and is assigned to work with veteran agent, Zachary Evans. However, Zach has his own secret agenda. While he is helping Ryan rescue the girls, he is determined to connect the trafficking ring with El Padrino, a Mexican cartel leader who had recently put a hit on Zach’s family.

Their heroic actions do not go unpunished. The men behind the ring are too afraid to report that they lost their girls, so they target Carson to tell them where they are. It is up to Ryan's team to protect her, and Ryan falls hard for the kindhearted nurse in the process. However, as he is preparing to build a future with Carson, he is also becoming suspicious of Zach's motivation. He knows that Zach’s family is illegally working to build a case against El Padrino, and that knowledge comes in handy when tragedy strikes.

The Evans Domination begins as they band together to track down El Padrino, knowing their plan could fail if they attempt to save Carson Armstrong. In true Evans fashion, they are ready to risk it all to help the girl who has captured Ryan Harmon’s heart. The only problem is: will they make it in time?

Blurb:

First Portia’s late unlamented husband left her penniless, then his nip-farthing brother dumped her at Ashburne Hall to decay. If mice in the walls and holes in the roof aren’t bad enough, someone wants her to believe the place is haunted. But Portia doesn’t scare that easily, even if catching sight of the brooding ghost leaves her strangely breathless.
When he was accused of murdering his fiancée a decade ago, Giles Ashburne fled the country to his supposed death. Now he’s returned to the Hall to uncover the evidence that will exonerate him, only to find himself playing a ghost in his own home. Nothing he does drives Portia away, and worse, the stubborn chit is starting to grow on him.
The more Portia learns about Giles Ashburne, the more certain she becomes that her ghost is not only innocent, but far from dead. When she sets out to prove it, she puts herself on a crash course with not only Giles, but the real killer. If Giles and Portia don’t learn to stop striking sparks off each other and work together, there will soon be two ghosts at Ashburne Hall.

Blurb:

What happens when you run out of happy thoughts?

Desperate to leave Neverland and find his love in this notorious town called London, James Hook makes a grave mistake. He puts his own wishes above those of his half-brother and once-arch-enemy, Peter Pan.

The consequences alter Peter’s life in a way no one could have foreseen. The boy who wouldn’t grow up swears revenge, and what better way than by stealing Hook’s girl?

The first to arrive in London, Peter finds Angel once again without any memory of ever being in Neverland. That gives him time to plant the idea of a ruthless pirate captain in her mind—someone who tried to kill her once and is now on his way to kidnap her again. If only this stubborn girl would stop playing with Peter’s head. He’d completely forgotten how beautiful she was. Or is it only because he sees her through different eyes now?

Through a shower of falling stars, a loop around the moon, and then a hard left at the Clock Tower—when James Hook finally arrives in London, he has to fight with a vengeance for his love and face a boy who grew up after all…

Royalty-Free Does Not Mean FREE

There's an issue I'd like to address in regard to image usage.

I've seen more than one person think the term royalty-free means they can use the image for free. It does not. It means you pay one price for the use of the image, within the confines the copyright holder sets for whichever license you happen to purchase. NOT FREE.

That doesn't mean there aren't places you can get actual free images to use. There are many sites that offer legitimately free images.

That does mean that images you get from stock photo sites like Dreamstime, Deposit Photos, iStockphoto, Bigstock, and the others have to be paid for before you can use them. BEFORE YOU USE THEM. That means you can never publicly display their watermarked images. NEVER. Even if the image is one they offer for free, you have to download the non-watermarked image to use, not their watermarked one. It may seem like it's not a big deal, but some of these sites are very protective and will come after you. An innocent mistake is only innocent the first time. Ignorance of the rules is no excuse.

Please do your research. Respect the artist's copyright.

Illuminations of the Heart by Joyce DiPastena

Blurb:

Siri de Calendri was trained in the art of illumination in her brother’s workshop in 12th century Venice, but when her brother dies his will sends her far from home. Siri travels to the faraway county of Poitou in France, where she enters the guardianship of her brother’s friend, Triston de Brielle. Once settled, she hopes to find employment in an illuminator’s shop— until Triston unexpectedly snatches her heart away with a kiss.

Triston is a man of quiet honor and courage, but the guilt he carries for the death of his wife, Clothilde, has left him numb and hesitant to love again. Worse yet, Siri bears an uncanny resemblance to his lost love. Or does she? Her merry laughter and twinkling eyes are very different from his late wife's shy smiles and quiet ways. Yet when he gazes into Siri's face, all he sees is Clothilde.

Then Triston's past returns to threaten them both. Trapped between the rivalry of the king's sons on the one hand and a neighbor out for vengeance on the other, Triston realizes it would be safer to send Siri away. Siri is determined not to be cast off and not to live in another woman’s shadow. She has illuminated many a priceless book with pen and paint, but can her own vibrant spirit illuminate the darkness in Triston’s soul and make his heart beat for her alone?

Blurb:

I know evil exists. I met it face to face.

In Retselville, Kentucky, small-town therapist Solomon Noche is struggling with displaced anger toward God. Nightmares encapsulate him, revealing an ancient, demonic cult that sacrificed children in his town, and perhaps continues.

Sol is thrust on a journey where reality and psychosis blur, as a nightmarish figure torments him with riddles and time-traveling nightmares. The riddles expose secrets and evil - hidden history revealed leads to a sacrificial altar, ritual dagger, and a well of skulls. Sol unearths a 19th Century journal from a secret cellar detailing a mission to stop this cult and its demon—Miyah.

The closer Sol gets to the truth, the more sinister the secrets become, leaving no one to trust, including himself. He resolves his only hope is in God to save him and defeat this demon and cult. Sol confronts Miyah’s terrifying, fallen-angel form in a battle not only for Retselville and his life, but innumerable lost souls.

A supernatural thriller, twisting you until the end with its addictive story. Your heart will pound walking down the darkened path with Sol. Cowering at the sights and sounds encountered, pray you’re heard as you WHISPER A SCREAM!
